Privacy and Usage Policies

This version of the Agreement will be applicable from January 01, 2021 until further notice.

This Privacy and Usage Policy along with the Terms and Conditions (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Agreement") explain how through Ascend Smart Collection (‘this App”) we, Southtech Limited or any of its sister concerns, i.e., Southtech Solutions Ltd. - UK), Southtech Inc. -USA, Southtech (Bhutan) Private Limited - Bhutan and Southtech Myanmar Ltd. – Myanmar (hereinafter addressed as "Southtech”, "we", "us", "our"), collect, process and use information on behalf of our clients who are subscribers to our Ascend Financials (“AFS”), a core banking solution or users of any other Core Banking Solution (“CBS”), or any Core Insurance Solution (“CIS”).

User (hereinafter addressed as "User", “user”, "you", "your", "yourself") of this App must be a person authorized by any of our clients (“your employer”, “our client”) with the responsibility of collecting loan instalment repayments, savings payments, insurance premium payments or any other payments of the customers of your employer. From the moment you sign up for, access, or use the "Services" provided by us, you agree to the terms and conditions stated in this Agreement. You agree to allow us to use and disclose your personal information entered into our system according to the description of this Agreement.

Terms and Conditions

  1. You agree to use this App as per the online user training and guideline provided.
  2. At the time of user registration, we shall collect your personal data (name, NID, or any other data through which we can establish that you are who you claim to be). We shall also authenticate your data with our client’s system (i.e., AFS, any other CBS or CIS).
  3. We shall not sell your personal data to anyone nor use it for any other purpose other than for the purposes as stated here in this Agreement.
  4. You agree to have signed a “Confidentiality Agreement” with your employer (who is our client) to protect your employer’s customer data against unauthorized disclosure.
  5. You agree that you will use data collected through this App only for the purposes intended, i.e.,
    1. Download your employer’s customer information onto the database of this App,
    2. Enter cash collection data into this App as soon as collected,
    3. Provide necessary information to your employer’s customers as and when requested by them,
    4. And for no other purpose.
  6. You will not disclose information of any customer of your employer to any other customer or third party without the specific authorization of the customer.
  7. You will reconcile all cash thus collected through this App with the system it is or shall be connected to, i.e., AFS, any other CBS, or any CIS.
  8. Your personal information will primarily be held within AFS, any other CBS, or any CIS, however, we shall authenticate your access by 2FA (duel authentication) system based on your information i.e., your User ID and your phone’s IMEI number.
